Wednesday nights in downtown Loveland are about to get a little sweeter — and a whole lot louder.
On July 8, the annual “One Sweet Summer” concert series returns to the Foundry Plaza on Third Street with free live music, food vendors and fun for the whole family.
Hosted by the Loveland Downtown District, the Wednesday night series will run through Aug. 26, bringing eight weeks of concerts to the outdoor stage. Most performances will begin at 6:30 p.m. and continue until about 8:30 p.m.
This year’s lineup features a mix of Americana, country, blues and rock acts, including Wendy Woo featuring Girl Crush on opening night, Poudre Valley Playboys, Gasoline Lollipops and The Animeros. A Grateful Dead tribute performance by Shakedown Street on July 22 will start early at 6 p.m., while the series finale performer will be announced later this summer.
In addition to live music, the concerts will feature food vendors, beverages from downtown breweries and wine from The OBC Wine Project. A sponsored “Kids Zone” with games, dancing and free art activities will also return this year.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Free parking will be available in the Foundry parking garage and surrounding area.
